BREEAM is the method of evaluation and certification of sustainability for the most technically advanced buildings. Appearing in the United Kingdom in 1990, it has since then become the method which inspired the rest of sustainable construction certificates that subsequently appeared. It promotes a more sustainable construction that has economic, environmental and social benefits for all people who are linked to the life of a building.
