At LPA Studio, we are honoured to contribute to the World Urban Forum. Our Master Plan for the Gran Canaria Convention and Trade Centre has been selected by the Spanish coordinator of the Local2030 Coalition Secretariat as one of the Spanish experiences to be presented at WUF 13, currently taking place in Baku.
The singularity of the new Gran Canaria Convention and Trade Centre Master Plan lies in its ambition to be more than an infrastructure for the economic development of Gran Canaria. It is also conceived as a social and ecological infrastructure for the surrounding neighbourhoods, local communities, and the city of Las Palmas as a whole.
We would like to thank the Local2030 Coalition Secretariat and the Cabildo de Gran Canaria for their coordination and for recognising the project’s contribution to improving the living conditions of nearby neighbourhoods and communities.
